On the occasion of World Breast Feeding Week from 1st to 7th August, Marengo Asia Hospitals, Faridabad organized a session with lactation counsellor Ms Navodita.

She briefed and explained to new mothers and going-to-be mothers that breastfeeding is not just important for infants but also for the mothers themselves. We focused on all the merits of mother's milk and urged them to feed the baby at least for the first 6 months of age which will help the infant to grow healthy and strong.

Also, it's beneficial for mothers as breastfeeding helps in weight loss after pregnancy and reduces the risk of getting breast ovarian cancer in the future.
